Elizabeth Bishop, Her Circle, and the Literary Archive

This approved special session of the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association focuses on Elizabeth Bishop and her extensive and expanding archive in order to address more broadly how archives, as shifting sites of knowledge, shape and reframe poetic identities, careers, aesthetics, and reputations. We invite papers that focus on either Bishop or her circle of mid-century North American and/or Brazilian writers. This conference is held in Pasadena, California from November 11-13, 2016.
